At their recent changeover dinners the president’s role was kept in the family at both clubs.

At Rotary, outgoing president Vere Gray inducted her husband Garry as incoming president.

Meanwhile, at the Lions dinner, outgoing president Rick Beves handed the reins to his wife Sue.

Since the Grays moved to the Bay two years ago and the Beves six years ago, both families have continued membership of their respective service clubs to ensure they were involved in the community, met new people and got to know their community as they helped others.

“Both clubs assist whenever and wherever possible and are grateful for the community support,” Vere said.

“To continue to maintain their solid work in the community both clubs are always on the lookout for new members, so anyone who is interested in community service should contact either club.”
