HERE will be a second rugby league reunion in Bega this year, this time involving the Minor League fraternity.
Former Bega Roosters Minor League players, offials, supporters etc are invited to be at the Bega Bowling Club at 7.30pm on October 25 for this special free night of celebration.
There has already been a good response from former team members still living in Bega and Scott McRae will be on the job to track down his out of town former teammates.
A special invitation is extended to the Mums and Dads who were great supporters of the team.
Mums are asked to bring a plate of food along as we know from the past how good these fellows are with their tucker.
It will be 10-years since the Bega Under 12s team defeated Batemans Bay at Cobargo to take home the Premiership Trophy after a season in which the only game Bega had lost that season had been to the Bay side.
Captain of the Bega Roosters team was Kaine Tarlinton who with fellow teammate Scott Lennon made their way into the Bega Roosters First Grade team.
Kaine and with teammate Scott made good in the senior ranks with Kaine representing Group 16 and Scott made it into the NSW 12s team in 1993.
He is now playing First Grade in Perth with former Bega Rooster’s coach Andrew Korn and has played well enough to make it into the representative team over there.
