DIGGING DEEP: Junior School captains Samuel White and Jasmin Fuller planting trees on national Tree Day.St Peter’s Anglican College is a young school on a developing site says the principal, Allan Russell.
“Because trees had to be removed at the time of its construction, college staff and pupils take the opportunity on occasions such as National Tree Day to plant another garden or area of the college grounds,” he said.
“The college has had an award-winning environment program and it is part of the ethos of the college to have a beautiful and sustainable environment; these projects are helping to generate an interest in trees and plants as well as the environment among the students.”
This year students from Kindergarten to Year 12 planted a variety of plants and trees around a classroom area.
