AN EARLY AM start did not deter the Lumen Christi Athletics team when it competed at the recent Archdiocesan carnival at Bruce Stadium in Canberra late last month.

The 35 strong team when related to the size of their school and the overall number of competitors, did exceptionally well.

Their results were so outstanding that 16 members were selected to compete at Homebush to represent the diocese at the Inter Diocesan Championships to-day September 19.

Those selected are Stuart Whitby (13Boys), Kiri Martin (13Girls) and Bridget Oakley (14Girls) were Age Champions and Bart McPherson (13Boys) and Kayne Robson (14Boys) were Runner-up Age Champions.

Results from the diocese carnival are as follows.
