THE Bega library launched its drug education program a few months back with a small collection of reference material.
The Bega Valley Community Drug Action Team (CDAT), while commending the program, felt that it should be extended to the other library branches in the shire and contain not only reference material but lending resources.
After discussion between the Bega Valley Shire Library’s services manager, Janice Biggin, and the library’s co-ordinator of the drug program, Linda Albertson and CDAT’s chairperson, Paul Brunton, it was agreed that CDAT would provide $400 for the extra resources and that would be matched by the library.
The cheque was presented to the library on Monday.
