The event was rated a great success, and attracted 150 people.

Organised by Aboriginal elder Georgina Parsons (Aunty Coopy) to encourage children to be active and have fun outdoors, the day was officially opened by Mayor Fergus Thomson and blessed by Anglican parish priest Linda Chapman.

Aunty Coopy, who donated two of her beautiful paintings for the raffle in support of the event, thanked the Mayor and Yvonne Thomson, and sponsors and helpers who made the day such a success.

“I want to thank everyone for their donations and everyone who was supportive of the day and I hope it will be even bigger next year,” Aunty Coopy said.
