“MARGARET Brown has the finest touch with porcelain of anyone I know,” Petra Murphy of the Raglan Gallery in Cooma said as she officially opened Margaret’s exhibition. “Pathway to Porcelain”, at the Spiral Gallery on Friday.
The work was also described as “stunning” and those at the opening obviously agreed as red dots proliferated among the black, white and grey of Margaret Brown’s work.
“Her work has wonderful, clean, crisp lines,” said Ms Murphy.
Porcelain was not Margaret Brown’s first love, which was wood fired pieces.
It was only a few years ago that she started working with porcelain while studying at the Canberra School of Arts (ANU) from which she graduated with a Diploma in Visual Arts.
She also won the ANU Emerging Artist Clayworks Award.
Pathway to Porcelain will be at the Spiral Gallery until October 30.
The gallery is open from Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm and on Saturdays from 10am to 1pm and this is an exhibition well worth visiting.
