Frensham, with 15 mentions in the Board of Studies’ Order Of Merit list, was ranked 53 out of some 500 schools in this year’s HSC.
This represents a significant improvement for the Mittagong-based independent girls’ school which was ranked 269 on last year’s results.
According to data supplied by the Education Department, Moss Vale High was one of the 118 public high schools (out of 455) that did not make the Order of Merit list.
James Ruse Agricultural High again dominated honours, finishing top ranked school, with 306 mentions.
•Bowral High School had six mentions and was ranked 345 (269 in 1999)
•Chevalier College had 13 mentions and was ranked 209 (213 in 1999)
•Oxley College had four mentions and was ranked 301 (295 in 1999)
•St Paul’s International College had four mentions and was ranked 92 (295 in 1999)
